Would you be interested in playing a Stargate Mafia?
Stargate Mafia
Ok, I think it's time I host a round. There are two rounds I'm thinking of but I'll start with this one. I don't know how many of you watch Stargate but I'd like to do a mafia based on the show, set on earth during the events of both SG-1 and Atlantis, including characters and enemies from each. I will give a story example in a few hours, I just wanted to get the poll up and see your thoughts.

I don't think you should put SG-1 and Atlantis together into one Mafia... but I'm game

I loved watching SG-1 when I was a kid!
If you do make it, I must be Teal'c

Re: Stargate Mafia
Stargate Mafia? Hmm... that would be pretty sweet. What would be the ratio of SG-1 : Atlantis characters (I've only seen SG-1)?

Re: Stargate Mafia
Somewhere around half and half. (I'm not using the Farscape characters though) enemies are gould and wraith. Definitely some third parties. Incorporating some elements from my original mafia for playtesting purposes. If it works out and people enjoy it, I will use them for my next game which is going to be for advanced players looking for a challenge. Possibly the item and location systems along with alternate targetting. There is also a possibility for NPC's
@Guz: Universe will not be included. I may include the communication stones as an attainable item. I don't want people getting stuck in a separate galaxy, in a different body maybe, but not in a different galaxy.

Communication stones appeared in each series. They would fall under the item rules, should I choose to include them, as would the A't'trr orb, the stargate itself and weapons such as Ronan's gun, staff weapons, etc.
@TGOT, that would be an example of an NPC, not a third party. Under my rules, anyone who does not have control over their own body, is controlled by the host. The host will not kill players and there is always a way to regain control, but that doesn't stop me from having some fun with you guys

Re: Stargate Mafia
Impossible to lynch and can't be killed by bullets. They would also be strengthened by energy weapons.... the only thing that could possibly take out an A't'trr orb would be a wraith sucking on the host. Even then, the wraith would probably just get infected. I forget how they killed it off in the end. I don't think they did, I think they just took it through the gate to a different world.

Yep, SG-1 managed to convince them they could find a more suitable world for them and took them there instead.Mr. Ree wrote:Impossible to lynch and can't be killed by bullets.
